GROOVE. is a woodwork shop based in Digbeth, Birmingham.
Here’s our story so far…
We’re Nathan and Bria and we share a passion for designing, building and restoring contemporary and Mid-Century furniture.
Alongside this we work closely with artists and creatives to create installations and public art exhibits.
DESIGN.
We believe that our future lies in designing products that use responsible, yet appropriate, materials to last a lifetime and more. Fed up with seeing fast furniture dictating peoples homes and workplaces we aim to deliver furniture and products that are suitable for their environment. Reducing the need to be replaced in a few years time.
BUILD.
Building everything to order from our workshop in Digbeth, we have a full understanding of our designs and are able to translate this to the physical product. A combination of traditional woodworking techniques and modern machinery enables us to build innovative and unique pieces for any setting.
RESTORE.
Buying, Restoring and Selling mid-century furniture and homewares is another example of our furniture for life ethos. Not wanting anything to go to waste we lovingly collect and restore items in order to save them from landfill. Alongside our love for mid-century design and materials we also treat our restoration projects as an opportunity to learn design and construction techniques from master craftsmen.
